There is a type of sound that does not try to explain itself too much. It just happens right on the track, on the headset, and in the movement of the body. It is in this space that Fcukers appears. More than a New York electronic band formed in 2022, the project has become one of the names that best translates this current young energy.
The group is born from the union of Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis, who came from previous experiences in indie and decided to change their sound direction, looking for something more related to electronic music and the track. The first show took place in 2023 in New York, marking the beginning of the project's public trajectory. Shortly after, the first releases came, as Mothers, followed by other singles that began to circulate within the alternative and electronic scene.
The signature with the Technicolour seal (linked to Ninja Tune) marked a more structured phase. From this, the group released tracks such as Bon Bon, Homie Don't Shake and Tommy, consolidating their sound identity. In 2024, the release of the EP Baggy$$ brought together these first tracks and helped structure the initial phase of the project.
But it is in the most recent album that this identity begins to reorganize. Released on March 27, 2026, Ö features a lighter, poppier version of the project. In listening, the album gives a feeling of being more accessible and lighter to listen to. The electronic elements are still present, but with a structure more focused on dance and pop.
At times, the album is reminiscent of a video game soundtrack, such as songs that play on the menu of games like FIFA. That was the impression when listening to the project. The track Shake It Up reinforces this feeling, being one of the ones that most connects with this idea of light, continuous and ambient music. Today, Fcukers continues to be active with recent tours and releases, maintaining a presence in the international electronic scene.
This PAIR exudes the energy of youth, straight talk.
